Joal Miller, PT
I grew up in Washington state living mostly on the wet (west) side in a suburb of Seattle. My wife and I decided to find a drier climate and moved to Arizona shortly after I graduated from The University of Puget Sound in 1999. I loved sports and outdoor activities growing up. Later, I was fortunate to be able to swim in college and specialized in the 200 butterfly. I continue to be involved in athletics as a recreational cyclist and triathlete. I also love to travel and am usually looking forward to our next adventure. My wife is an occupational therapist and has a gift for working with special needs children. Our son was a swimmer as well and has graduated college. He is now in the working world doing sales and marketing. Our daughter excelled in gymnastics and is currently in college working toward a career in healthcare. It’s hard to believe but we opened San Tan Physical Therapy back when there was one stoplight in Queen Creek.

Jillian Garbera, PTA
Jillian has spent the large majority of her life in Arizona and is happy to claim Arizona as home. She spent her childhood dancing competitively and became interested in the rehab world through her own experiences with physical therapy. In high school, she was a student athletic trainer working primarily with football and baseball players. It was there that she found her passion for rehab and returning people to the activities they love. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2011 with her PTA degrees and has been specializing in outpatient orthopedics ever since. When she is not in the clinic, she is spending time with her husband and sweating while cheering on her 2 kids at the pool or baseball field.
